Statement of Faith – What We Believe

We Believe There Is Only One God.
He is the all-powerful, all-knowing God who created everything. The God who inspired men to write the Bible. The God who came to earth in human form as Jesus Christ.

We believe that this God is compassionate, loving and wise. That He hears and answers prayer. And that He offers eternal hope that goes beyond anything this world can offer.

We Believe That You Matter To God.
The Bible says that the same awesome God who created the universe, created you too. Don’t you find it logical that He wants to stay connected? Even when and if you feel small and insignificant, God is interested in you. As a matter of fact, the Bible says He already knows everything about you. Even the exact number of hairs on your head.

So think about it. The God who made you wants to care for you, communicate with you, and be a powerful, minute-by-minute presence in your life.

Most importantly of all, God wants to give your life meaning and significance, providing a cause worth living for. A purpose that is larger than yourself, and giving you an opportunity to do something of enormous, lasting value.

We Believe The Bible.
We believe that God’s word is relevant today and we teach it that way. It’s the ultimate source of truth, and has the power to forever change lives.

We believe the Bible contains all the guidelines we need to live a happy and satisfying life.
It tells us how to date, how to marry, and how to raise our children. It tells us how to stay married. And for those of us who suffer the pain of divorce, it tells us how to put our lives back together.

The Bible instructs us to how to develop a God-centered value system. How to handle conflict with our boss. How to cope with stress. And how to reach out to others in love.

The Bible tells us that God forgives us when we ask Him to, and that He expects us to forgive each other in the same way.

Most Of All, We Believe The Good News.
Admit it. All of us have made bad choices at some time or another in our lives. Whether big or small, these “sins” separate us from God, who is perfect. Like it or not, we deserve to be punished. But the Bible says that by voluntarily dying on the cross, Jesus Christ has already paid the penalty for our sins. This means that anyone who accepts His free gift of salvation can be totally forgiven — “born again” — and united with God forever.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John chapter 3, verses 16 & 17)

Salvation is totally 100% free, and is available right now.
Receiving it is as simple as believing with all your heart that Jesus is the Son of God, that He lived a perfect life, that He died in your place, and that He rose from the dead. Then, by personally accepting His invitation, you surrender your life to His leadership.

What You Do Next Counts Forever.
No pressure, but if you’re ready to become a Christian, a follower of Jesus, pray this prayer, or something like this, but in your own words…

“Dear God in heaven, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need Your forgiveness.

I believe that Your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for Your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank You Jesus that Your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to You alone and not to myself.

Thank You Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.

The basis of this prayer comes from Romans 10:9-10. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Always remember that getting to know God better is a joyful journey that will last a lifetime . . . and beyond.
